Through Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic SEN Support staff to work across secondary schools and specialist provisions in Swansea and Surrounding Areas.

If you’re passionate about supporting young people with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and making a real difference in the classroom, this is a fantastic opportunity!

As part of the SEN Support team, you will support learners with a range of additional needs, including:
✨ ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition)
✨ ADHD
✨ PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)
✨ SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)

Many learners will follow an Individual Development Plan (IDP) or a One-Page Profile, which you’ll help implement daily.

✔️ Provide 1:1 or small group support
✔️ Support emotional, behavioural, and academic development
✔️ Help learners engage positively in lessons
✔️ Encourage independence and confidence
✔️ Create a calm, safe, and inclusive environment ‍♀️
✔️ Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and school staff


We’re looking for individuals who are:
Patient, caring, and proactive
Confident supporting young people with additional needs
Interested in ALN/SEN and child development
Strong team players who can follow guidance
⚡ Adaptable, reliable, and able to use initiative

Experience with ALN/SEN is desirable – but not essential!
A positive attitude and willingness to learn are what matter most.


To work with Teaching Personnel, you will need:
Enhanced Child-Only DBS (on the Update Service)
EWC Registration
Two years of verifiable references
