Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit a Behaviour Mentor that would be suitable for a 'good' secondary school in Stockton On Tees. The school work exclusively with Teaching Personnel with all of their recruitment needs.

The ideal candidate:

- Confident, reliable and patient

- Able to build relationships quickly

- Confident working with challenging pupils on a one-to-one basis

- Previous experience working with challenging behaviour in or outside of an educational setting

The school caters for pupils aged 11 - 16, and has a large support team in school. The pupils who need one-to-one support are young males in KS3 and KS4, who have a keen interest in sport, however they display challenging behaviour. The support team aspires to create a happy, safe and caring learning environment for staff and students so that the children can reach their full potential. The candidate should help the smooth running of the classroom routine and support the children across the curriculum.

Duties include:

  • Supporting pupils throughout the school day
  • Ensuring the pupils safety and security
  • Helping children to access their education in any way they can
  • Helping with students speech, language and communication

The successful candidate should have previous experience working with young people with difficult behaviour and happy to trial at the school to showcase themselves for the temp to perm role.

The working hours are 8:30am - 3:00pm Monday to Friday.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
