Teaching Personnel are seeking a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN School and College in Bury, supporting learners aged 11-19 with a range of additional needs.

This rewarding full-time role involves working closely with students across both secondary and post-16 provisions, helping them achieve their academic goals, develop independence, and build confidence in everyday life. The role may include providing personal care and supporting learners who can display challenging behaviours, so a calm, patient, and resilient approach is essential.

⭐ Provide 1:1 and small group support throughout the school and college day
⭐ Build positive relationships that promote trust, engagement, and achievement
⭐ Support learners with a variety of complex needs across different pathways
⭐ Assist with personal care where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
⭐ Use positive behaviour support strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging situations
⭐ Encourage independence, communication, and life skills development
⭐ Promote students' social, emotional, and mental wellbeing
⭐ Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
