At Teaching Personnel we are looking for recent English Literature graduates to join our team of expanding support teachers.

This is a role that facilitates many different career paths, allowing you to work as a cover supervisor, a teaching, or an English language assistant.

Cover Supervisor – Covering classes for a teacher without any planning or marking responsibilities

Teaching Assistant – Assisting the Teacher with the lesson and 1:1 guidance with students

English Language Assistant – Helping students who are struggling with English

Key information about the role

  • Pay will be £12.30 an hour at a minimum, this will be higher for Teachers and those with experience.
  • The schools will all be in the area of Trafford, Longsight, and Withington
  • You will be required to work with many different schools within the area and will have the ability to set your preferences.
  • Hours will be 8:15am – 3:15pm with some slight variation depending on the school, we will always be considerate with short notice cover to allow the educator to arrive in a reasonable time.
  • The classes you will be covering are KS3 and KS4
  • You must be located in the UK to be eligible for this role.
  • We also offer invigilation roles that are available during the exam season.
  • The role will be flexible, with you working only the days you want to
  • You must be available in the mornings 7am-8am for day-to-day cover

The vetting process to clear you for work should only take as long as the DBS does, but to ensure the process is as efficient as possible, please have 3 references ready from your most recent employers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
