Graduate Cover Supervisor opportunity!

Teaching Personnel are looking for a confident and proactive individual who has a keen interest in the education sector. You will be working with children in KS3 and KS4 (aged 11-16). Classroom and behaviour management is vital to the role so you must be an enthusiastic and likeable person with the ability to build relationships with the pupils quickly!

A Cover Supervisor's primary responsibility is to oversee the classroom when the instructor is not there. The class teacher will supply all necessary materials, so the Cover Supervisor will be prepared to conduct the lesson. While the Cover Supervisor is not actively instructing, the class must remain motivated and concentrated in order to do the assignments and activities that have been given to them. You must be knowledgeable about how to assist students as they complete exercises and go through the course as part of your obligations.

Contract details:

This position is in a secondary school in Blackpool, for a temporary position, that is part-time. The hours are 8:30-15:00.

Day-to-day duties for a Cover Supervisor include:

-       Oversee and manage the students in the absence of regular teachers.

-       Deliver prearranged lessons and ensure students remain focused and actively involved in their learning.

-       Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

-       Uphold discipline and adhere to school policies.
