Position: High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Essex

Contract Type: Full-time

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers in planning, delivering, and evaluating high-quality teaching and learning experiences as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA).
• Lead small group instruction and provide targeted intervention to support the progress of individual students or groups with specific learning needs.
• Collaborate with teachers to create inclusive learning environments that meet the diverse needs of all students.
• Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum plans, assessment strategies, and instructional resources.
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor for students, promoting a love for learning and a growth mindset.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Level 4 Certificate.
• Education related qualifications would be beneficial.
• Previous experience as an HLTA or in a similar educational role highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of educational theory, pedagogical practises, and behaviour management strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
