Teaching Personnel, the UK’s leading education recruitment agency, is seeking an experienced and motivated Learning Manager to join one of our partner secondary schools in Oldham. This role is integral to supporting students' academic progress and personal development, ensuring that all students have the resources and guidance they need to succeed.

  • Monitor and support student learning across various subjects, working closely with teachers to identify and address any barriers to academic success.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students who are underachieving or at risk of falling behind, providing targeted interventions and mentoring.
  • Lead and coordinate small group sessions or one-to-one support for students, focusing on key areas such as literacy, numeracy, and study skills.
  • Track and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and reporting regularly to senior leadership and teaching staff.
  • Work closely with the pastoral team to address any behavioral or attendance issues that may impact learning, ensuring a holistic approach to student support.
  • Engage with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress and working together to support students’ educational outcomes.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities and enrichment programs that enhance students’ learning experiences.
  • Support the school’s safeguarding policies, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students and reporting any concerns appropriately.
  • Experience in an educational setting, ideally in a support or mentoring role, with a strong understanding of secondary school curriculum and student needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and track student progress effectively.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to promoting the academic and personal development of students, with a focus on inclusive education.
  • An understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to ensuring the welfare of all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
