Learning Support Assistant

 

A school located in the Worthing area are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1, and small group support to children with additional needs.

About the role:

Position: Learning Support Assistant (LSA).

Hours: Mon - Fri (8:30am - 3:30pm)

Location: Worthing

Pay: £385.00 - £450.00 (dependent on experience).

Key Responsibilities as a Learning Support Assistant:

  • Provide tailored support and assistance to students with additional learning needs.
  • Work with the class teacher to implement strategies within the classroom to ensure inclusivity and engagement.
  • Monitoring the student's progress and behaviour and feedback observations to the class teacher.
  • Be proactive in supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom provisions, such as the organisation of learning materials.
  • Assisting the students with tasks and activities to promote their participation and engagement.

Requirements to be considered:

  • Previous experience supporting children with Additional Learning Needs is desirable.
  • Able to commute to the school.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
