  • Provide one-to-one support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans
  • Support students in their academic and personal development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and track student progress and provide feedback to the education team
  • Relevant experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient and empathetic approach
  • Ability to work effectively in a team

Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Psychology, Special Education)

Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting

  • Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
  • Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures in education
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Level 4 or above qualification in Special Educational Needs
  • Additional training in specific learning difficulties (e.g., dyslexia, autism)
  • Typical working hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Work primarily takes place within a school setting
  • May require occasional evening or weekend work for school events or meetings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
