Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced and resilient Pastoral Support Worker to join a specialist SEMH school in the Dibden area, supporting students aged 8-16 years.
This is a challenging but highly rewarding environment, supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, SEN and challenging behaviour.
As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting students with their emotional wellbeing, behaviour and engagement with education.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing one-to-one and small-group pastoral support.
Supporting students with challenging behaviour and emotional regulation.
Building positive and trusting relationships with young people.
Helping students manage conflict and difficult situations.
Supporting students to engage positively with learning and school routines.
Working closely with teaching and support staff to implement behaviour and support strategies.
Encouraging positive choices, resilience and independence.
Providing a calm, consistent and supportive presence throughout the school day.
