We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) across a range of specialist schools and SEN provisions in West Yorkshire.

This is a rewarding role for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils with complex needs, including severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and medical needs.

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with PMLD

  • Supporting pupils with personal care, mobility, and physical needs (where required)

  • Using alternative communication methods (e.g. PECS, Makaton, AAC)

  • Supporting sensory integration and engagement activities

  • Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and developmental needs
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN or PMLD (desirable but not essential)

  • A patient, compassionate, and nurturing approach

  • Confidence supporting pupils with complex and medical needs

  • Experience in special schools, care settings, or healthcare environments (advantageous)
