We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) across a range of specialist schools and SEN provisions in West Yorkshire.
This is a rewarding role for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils with complex needs, including severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and medical needs.
Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with PMLD
Supporting pupils with personal care, mobility, and physical needs (where required)
Using alternative communication methods (e.g. PECS, Makaton, AAC)
Supporting sensory integration and engagement activities
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN or PMLD (desirable but not essential)
A patient, compassionate, and nurturing approach
Confidence supporting pupils with complex and medical needs
Experience in special schools, care settings, or healthcare environments (advantageous)
