Position: Learning Support Assistant

Pay: £400 - £450 per week

Contract: Full-Time

Start Date: June 2024

Conveniently located in Peterlee, our client Secondary school is easily accessible from surrounding areas via major roads like the A1231, A183, A690, A1018, or the A19. And if you don't drive, don't worry – there are plenty of public transport options from nearby areas in The North East.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability in 1:1 and group behavior management.
  • Child-only DBS on the update service or willingness to apply (we can assist with this during registration).
  • Two professional references from recent employment.
  • Previous experience supporting young people with additional learning needs or SEN is a plus.

Job Brief:

  • Support students of KS3 and KS4 with a range of abilities and SEMH needs.
  • Ideal experience for those pursuing a PGCE application or Educational Psychology.
  • Opportunities to get involved in extracurricular activities.
  • Varied work in classroom, 1:1, or small nurture group settings.
