Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher to join specialist SEN and SEMH primary schools across Southampton.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who wants to make a genuine difference to the education, development and wellbeing of primary-aged children with additional needs.
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
Deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs
Support primary-aged pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
Create a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and other professionals
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils
Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
Adapt teaching strategies to meet a wide range of abilities and additional needs
Promote confidence, independence and positive behaviour
The ideal candidate will:
Be a qualified teacher (QTS) or have relevant teaching experience
Have experience working with, or a strong interest in supporting, SEN and SEMH pupils
Be patient, resilient and passionate about inclusive education
Have excellent communication and behaviour-management skills
Be committed to helping every child reach their individual potential
Have a nurturing and flexible approach to teaching
ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply, with appropriate support available.
£34,069 – £52,835 per annum, dependent on experience and pay scale
