We are currently recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant based in a specialist School in Salford. For this SEN TA role, ideally you must have experience working with young people with additional needs, such as Autism, ADHD, attachment difficulties, PMLD, communication difficulties and dyslexia.

Your role as a Teaching Assistant in this Ofsted rated Outstanding school, will be to

  • Analyse behaviours that challenge to identify their root cause (e.g. frustrations caused by sensory issues or inability to communicate needs)
  • Equip young people with tools to self-regulate their behaviour
  • Assist class teacher and work closely with the young people and their families to support them to reach their potential through academic progress and the development of social skills.

The ideal candidate for this role will have/be:

  • Personal or professional experience with ASD/SEN/SEMH/PMLD
  • Kind, nurturing personality
  • Adaptable/flexible to the needs of the children
