We are currently working with SEN and SEMH schools in Worthing who are recruiting for a number of vacancies. These schools cater for children primary and secondary aged with additional needs and social, emotional, mental health difficulties.

The schools have excellent facilities such as specialist sensory rooms, sports courts, swimming pools and therapy rooms. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be working in the classroom 1:1 and in small groups, assisting children with their learning and general well-being throughout the school day. Class sizes range from 5-15 pupils depending on the school and the severity of the needs in the class, all classes have multiple teaching assistants to support pupils.

We are looking for individuals who have a passion for working with children and who are kind, empathetic and positive. School experience is not necessary; however some knowledge of SEN and/or SEMH is required.

  • Have experience working with/caring for children with additional needs?
  • Have experience working with children outside of a classroom environment?
  • Have qualifications in childcare, sports coaching or youth work?
