Are you passionate about supporting individuals with special needs? We're looking for a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join an SEN Provision from 1st Sept 2024.

About the Role: As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in providing individualised support to students with special educational needs (SEN). You'll work closely with students to help them access the curriculum, develop social skills, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-on-one support to students with a range of special needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and communication difficulties.
  • Assisting students with daily activities, including personal care, mobility, and communication.
  • Implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment tailored to students' needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with special needs is desirable but not essential.
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy for individuals with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students.
