  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom
  • Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing individual education plans
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assisting with behaviour management and implementing strategies to support students
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Good understanding of safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)

Prior experience working in a school environment

  • Knowledge of SEN support strategies and techniques
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask
  • First Aid training
  • Additional SEN qualifications or training
  • Working hours may vary but generally follow the school timetable
  • May involve some physical activity such as assisting students with mobility
  • Working in a classroom setting with potential exposure to challenging behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
