Teaching Personnel are working alongside a specialist further education college in Dorset that provides day and residential support for young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The college are currently looking to build a strong bank of reliable and adaptable Teaching Assistants who are available for temporary cover and can be ready to support on short notice when required.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants looking for flexible work within a rewarding specialist setting.

  • Providing classroom and 1:1 support across the college
  • Supporting students with ASC and SEMH needs
  • Assisting with behaviour regulation and engagement
  • Working closely with teaching and support staff
  • Covering staff absences and additional staffing requirements
  • Previous experience supporting SEN students, ideally ASC and/or SEMH
  • Flexible, proactive and dependable individuals
  • Strong communication and behaviour support skills
  • Candidates who can respond quickly to cover requests
