Are you passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs?

We are a specialist independent day provision for children aged 7–18 years with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), predominantly Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Many of our pupils also present with additional diagnoses including ASD, ADHD, OCD, PDA and sensory processing difficulties.

We are currently looking for caring, resilient and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join our growing team across three specialist sites in Gloucestershire.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to re-engage with education, develop confidence, and experience success. Our therapeutic and child-centred approach has helped many pupils who previously felt school was not possible for them.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils both inside and outside of the classroom
  • Help create a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment
  • Work closely with teachers and therapeutic staff to meet individual pupil needs
  • Positively support pupils who may display distressed or challenging behaviours
  • Build trusting and consistent relationships with children and young people
  • Encourage emotional regulation, independence and engagement in learning
  • Support outdoor learning activities, which play a key role in our curriculum and child development approach
  • Small class sizes with high adult-to-pupil ratios
  • A highly supportive and experienced staff team
  • Extensive training and development opportunities
  • A collaborative and therapeutic working environment

  • Fully funded and supported NVQ Level 3 qualification for the right candidates who do not yet hold the qualification

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Passionate about supporting children with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Calm, patient and emotionally resilient
  • Able to build positive professional relationships with pupils
  • Flexible, proactive and team-focused
  • Experienced in education, care or youth support settings (desirable but not essential)
  • Qualified to Level 3 TA standard or willing to work towards this qualification with our support

Experience working with children affected by trauma, attachment difficulties or neurodiversity would be highly beneficial.
