Pay: £14.25 per hour

We are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school from September. This full-time, term-time-only role involves supporting primary and secondary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and associated social, emotional and communication needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a rewarding career in specialist education. Previous school experience is welcomed but not essential, and applications are encouraged from candidates with backgrounds in care, childcare, youth work, healthcare, coaching or other support-focused roles.

Working alongside teachers and the wider support team, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support

  • Help pupils engage with learning and develop independence

  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs

  • Support communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour

  • Build positive relationships that help pupils achieve their potential

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other professionals
