Teaching Personnel are looking for professional, reliable and committed teaching assistants to join their team working in schools in Horsham.

We are an education recruitment agency and work with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) schools across Sussex, helping schools with daily cover, long term cover and permanent roles.

We believe that the best educators are those who have a genuine passion for education and who are able to build strong relationships with children and staff. School experience isn’t necessary, however experience working with children (in any capacity) is preferred.

As a teaching assistant, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assisting the teacher in classroom activities
  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in groups with their learning
  • Managing behaviour and following the school behaviour policy

Expectations:

  • Commitment to the role
  • Punctuality- we need you to be there on time
  • Conducting yourself in a professional manner at all times
  • Following Safeguarding procedures at all times (Level 2 Safeguarding Training will be provided by Teaching Personnel)

We have a variety of roles available for immediate starts as well as September start dates. Please note that all teaching assistant roles are term time only and school hours of 8.30-4.30.
