Full Time Specialist Teaching Assistant – Manchester (M4)

Are you a caring and nurturing individual, with a medical background, looking for a role within a Primary School to offer support to pupils with medical needs?

A Primary School in Manchester (M4) are looking for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to offer daily support to two children with specialist needs. The right candidate for this role, must have some experience within a medical background with children. The role is full-time and term time only, with an ASAP start date. The school is in the heart of Manchester, offering reliable transportation routes.

The role will require you to support two children on a daily basis that have specialist medical needs. You will be required to offer support to a child that requires to be tube fed through the day and will need to assist in managing toileting needs via using hoisting equipment. You will also be monitoring a child’s insulin levels and administer insulin in line with their Health Care Plan.

You will be supported by the school SENCO and Headteacher throughout this role to ensure that you are giving the most effective care to the children however, experience with the specific role requirements is required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
