Smile Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Walsall (WS1).
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and achieve their potential within a supportive secondary school environment.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with a range of additional and special educational needs.
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support both in and outside the classroom.
- Helping pupils to engage with learning and overcome barriers to education.
- Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and behavioural development.
- Working closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral/SEN team.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
The Ideal Candidate:- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- Experience in a school, care, youth work or support setting is welcomed.
- A patient, empathetic and nurturing approach.
- Confident supporting pupils with a range of needs.
- Reliable, proactive and committed to making a positive difference.
- A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
