Position Details:
We are seeking a dynamic Teaching Assistant to commence after Easter on an ongoing basis, with the potential for a permanent role. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing one-on-one or small group support to students with SEND, adapting strategies to meet individual needs, collaborating with teachers on personalised education plans, and fostering strong relationships with students to promote their self-confidence and engagement. Additionally, you will contribute to classroom management and behaviour strategies, ensuring a positive learning atmosphere and supporting the development of a safe and inclusive environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care or a similar field.
  • Recent experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
  • Able to provide a minimum of 2 references covering the past two years, with at least one commenting on your interaction with children.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one.
  • Sound knowledge and experience of working with children with specific needs.
  • Experience of working with the school curriculum.
