Teaching Personnel are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join the team as Trainee Teaching Assistants with a focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to transition into a rewarding career in education, particularly within the SEN sector.

As a Teaching Assistant (SEN), you will:

  • Support classroom teachers in delivering tailored education plans for students with SEN.
  • Assist with the preparation of specialised teaching materials and classroom activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with various needs, including learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support students in achieving their specific goals.
  • A genuine interest in supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or in working with children with SEN is advantageous but not required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
