Visual Art Techician, Northampton. 

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Visual Arts Techncian to join a great Secondary school in Northaptonshire from September or earlier. The role is to work alongside key stages 3 and 4.

This is a varied role working within the Visual Arts faculty supporting a range of Arts subjects as well as Food Technology. Applicants should be organised, self-confident and possess excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills along with the ability to multitask within a demanding role.  We are especially keen to interview candidates with experience of working within a school kitchen, with clay materials and have used a Kiln.

This Secondary school is an oversubscribed 11-18 Academy with approximately 1450 students on roll (200 students Post 16).  They were graded by Ofsted as Good in all areas in December 2019, and are now looking forward to the next stage of their journey from good to great.  In September 2021, they joined Orbis Education Trust, and this has unlocked further possibilities for colleagues to develop, progress, and make a significant contribution to inspiring the students within their schools.  

This is a Full time role, starting September or earlier. 

Requiments: 

• Previous work experience in a visual arts setting.

• A solid understanding of wood and metal working processes.

• A good standard of general education, including achieving at least a GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).

• Confidence and competence in using IT within a working environment.

• Ability to respond and communicate with others

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
