Contract type: Full time, Monday-Friday, 8:30-3:30 (temp to perm)

Pay rate: £12.90 - £15.00 p/h

A provision in the Preston area is looking to recruit a Youth Worker from November 2023. The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Work as part of a close team and understand the need to set high standards of practice.
  • Build professional relationships with the children and young people.
  • Play a crucial role in supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of students.
  • Provide guidance, encouragement, and personalised support to students facing challenges.
  • Contribute to creating a nurturing and empowering environment that promotes the overall well-being of our students.

Requirements to be successful for the role:

  • Experience supporting students with SEMH in a professional or personal experience.
  • Able to implement behaviour strategies confidently.
  • Background of youth work, support work or any other experience of mentoring children and young adults.
  • To be educated to A Level or have a relevant and recognised childcare qualification.
  • Emotional and physical resilience to meet the challenges and demands of the role.

This provision for young people aged 11-16 years support students who have individual needs based on social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
